For the purpose of promoting musician’s medicine in Switzerland, Swissmedmusica was founded as Swiss Society for Music Medicine SMM in Bern on 1 September 1997. Music medicine is a specialist field that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of health difficulties that can arise in connection with making music.
